Why should M.P.s bury their expenses in the mist of Parliament. The public know so very little about the cost to the taxpayer of Parliament and its MPs and its workings.
Everything seems to be controlled by the MPs themselves with very little scrutiny from outside. Why when the Tax man crawles all over the ordinary Tax Payer should the representives we employ be a law unto themselves.
The expenses row has started to shine a spotlight on the murky world of politics and this will surely be a good thing for everyone involved.
